This is my card I did for this weeks challenge for TMITA. This cute little penguin is FREE so make sure you skate by and get it, because it will only be for free this week only!
The challenge was to use some reflective material of some kind on your card. When I first heard the challenge I knew I wanted to send some aluminum foil through a cuttlebug embossing folder! I must say it worked so wonderfully and I used a cheaper thinner kind so if you buy the really good stuff I imagine it works really well! So, all the shiny foil you see is just your everyday, cover you dish kind of foil from your kitchen. After I sent it through the embossing folder I used the spellbinder to cut my shape and then I also cut a piece to mat the large piece of pp and then also my sentiment which is heat embossed.
The wonderful thing about digital stamps, next to sizing them any size you want, is that you can flip the image; wa-la so now it's now going the other direction, which is what I did with mine.
I also wanted to use non-traditional winter paper and when I eyed these dots in my stash I knew I wanted to use it. There were green dots as well on the paper, which you can barely see now, but that is why I chose the green dotted ribbon and made her hat green as well. I used icicle stickles for the ice under her feet and pink for her hat. Then added my snowflakes...
So, if by chance you came by here first make sure you skate by TMITA and snag this fun wintry image!

Love this card, Nina! Great matching of the details! Hugs Nilla
Such a cute card Nina! I love how you flipped him around and have the penguin skating the other way!! The embossed foil looks fabulous and I love the sentiment!
Hugs, Danielle
Your card is very, very cute Nina. I didn't think about trying to reverse the image. I love that. Your background paper is so cute with him and I love your embossed aluminum foil. Also cute ribbon and matching hat. This was a very fun image to work with.
Nina - great card. Thanks for the tip with the foil, I wasn't sure what I was going to use for this challenge (now I know). Love all the details, especially how the hat coordinates so well. TFS!
I hoped someone would use regular old foil and you made it look awesome!!! Now why didn't anyone else ever think to flip the images?!? That's a GREAT idea to mix'em up a bit. Thanks for providing us with such a great image to work with.
