Magical Monday - Let's Make A Scene

It's another Magical Monday over at Paper Cupcakes! This week over at the Paper Cupcake's Challenge Blog the challenge is brought to us by Shirley. She wanted to see us "make a scene" by either using some type of scenery image or make a scene using some images. I decided to use several images from Paper Cupcakes. They were: Make A Wish, Kiss Cupcake, Much Love, Deco Flowers Vase 1, Small Orchid and Variety Tickets. I colored all my images with Bic Mark-its and added some stickles on some of the areas. Used pop up dots on a few of the images I cut out. I wanted it to look like a table that was set for a party/celebration. Of course after I added all those images that was pretty much the overall design, so I decided to add the ticket for the sentiment and the bow to add a little something extra.

The next card I made my mom for her birthday card. The image is called "Fair Fairy", but the image did not have the company name on it. I think it is from "A Day for Daisies", but if I am wrong please feel free to correct me in the comments. I wish everyone would put their company name on their images for easy identification. Anyway, I love this image and my mom loves fairies too, so I thought this would make a lovely card for her. I colored her with my Bic Mark-its as well and added some stickles on her to make her sparkle.

I also made her a book mark to match her card:

Here is another book mark I made using an image from "Whoopsi Daisy" I made this for the progressive challenge over at Crafter's Digital Art Center. They give you some free images and to receive the next set you have to actually take part in each challenge. I plan on using the others, so I best get on the move and get them completed. You actually only have to use one image and post it to get the next set, so that is doable, but I would like to attempt to use them all at least once. So, wish me luck.

I really liked the color combo of my mom's things, so I used the rest of my scrapes and made the following book mark for myself.

Morgan is now in her third week of High School and Avery starts second grade this Thursday. So, things should start falling back into a regular school routine once again. I must say I will miss those sleeping in days though and I do love having my children home for the summer.

Exciting news: Morgan made it through the auditions for the Musical and was in the top 10 for call backs out of about 150 children. She was the only freshman and the rest were Sophomores and Seniors who got called back to audition for the major roles of the musical. Needless to say she was thrilled. There were only 4 leading character roles(2-male and 2-female). Although, she did not land one of the leading roles, she is in one of the next biggest roles. She is just thrilled for her first High School musical and needless to say we are so proud of her and look forward to the upcoming musical which will be Guys and Dolls.

Well, going to enjoy my last few days with Avery prior to school this week. So you too, make it a great week and thanks for stopping by! Leave me a note, I would love to hear from you!
